As a world-renowned board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Siamak Agha has been performing arm enhancement surgeries since 2002.
While most plastic surgeons only perform 2-3 arm lift surgeries per year (According to data from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons), Dr. Agha performs about 30 or more arm lift and arm lift revision surgeries every year and many more arm liposuction and refinement procedures. This extensive experience has helped Dr. Agha develop his signature Total Arm Lift™ technique.
In 2007, Dr. Agha transitioned the standard arm lift incision and placed it at the junction between the arm front and back.
This produces a more inconspicuous incision than the current arm lift techniques, where the incision is either placed on the brachial groove over the front of the arm or at the back of the arm through a posterior arm lift.
Since then, he has addressed the issues of armpit and upper chest sagging to create the Total Arm Lift™ technique. The total arm lift is a comprehensive approach that addresses the lax skin and stubborn fat deposits of the arms, armpit and outer chest in union.
Dr. Agha’s aesthetic eye and more than 20 years of experience in plastic surgery have allowed him to perfect his arm lift surgery so that you can rock and flaunt your slender arms for everyone to see.

Many patients have stubborn fat over the back of their arms and/or lower arms. This fat is often resilient and does not respond well to diet or exercise. If your skin quality is good and you only have minimal skin laxity, then arm liposuction might be a great option for you. Arm liposuction can help improve the contour of your upper arms by removing unwanted fat. This procedure can also be combined with Arm Renuvion to tighten the arm skin further after liposuction.

Also known as the limited arm lift, the mini arm lift involves a small incision in the armpit, where most of the hanging skin is often closely located. Dr. Agha removes the excess skin and elevates the arm skin into your armpit. This procedure is commonly used for people with aging skin that is thinner and wrinkled.
The extended arm lift is best for patients with arm skin and tissue laxity that spans the full length of the upper arm — from the armpit to the elbow. It is one of the most commonly used approaches since most arm lift patients fall under this category.
Massive weight loss patients experiences a lot of loose skin not just in the upper arms, but also in the armpits. For these patients, an L-brachioplasty can help correct the significant degree of arm tissue laxity as well as the hollowness and sagging of the armpit. The L-brachioplasty was pioneered by Dr. Dennis Hurwitz, who served as Dr. Agha’s mentor for many years.
The total arm lift is the result of 20 years of cumulative work on arms and arm lift techniques by Dr. Agha. The procedure employs an incision that Dr. Agha popularized in 2007 – placed at the junction of the arm front and back, through which the whole arm is lifted and the sagging of the armpit is also addressed through an armpit lift. The lifted armpit is then reconstructed at a higher position while closing the upper arm incisions. It is often combined with liposuction of the elbow and upper arm back over the deltoid area.
Traditional arm lift techniques use either an anti-brachial groove incision near the front of the arm or a posterior incision along the back, both of which can be difficult to conceal. Since 2007, Dr. Agha has favored an incision placed at the junction between the front and back of the arm, similar to a jacket seam, allowing excess tissue removal while keeping the scar less visible compared to older approaches.
