Patient Details
This lovely female patient in her late 60s came to Dr. Agha after already undergoing two arm lifts with another surgeon. Despite the time, recovery, and hope invested in those procedures, she was still left with substantial hanging skin and uneven contours along the undersides of her upper arms.
After two surgeries, it would have been understandable for her to feel discouraged or accept that this was simply the best result available to her. Instead, she continued searching for a surgeon with the experience and technical approach needed to improve a region that had already been operated on twice. That persistence ultimately brought her to Dr. Agha.
A third arm lift is considerably more complex than a first-time procedure. Dr. Agha had to work around existing scars, previously tightened skin, and tissues whose natural circulation had already been affected by two earlier operations. There was also less available skin with which to create a safe and balanced correction.
Dr. Agha performed a revision utilizing his Total Arm Lift approach. He removed the remaining excess skin along the length of the upper arms while preserving the natural layer of fat beneath it. This allowed him to create slimmer, smoother arms without making them appear hollow, sharply pulled, or unnaturally thin.
The correction continued into the armpits, where the lifted tissues were secured to the strong supportive structures of the upper chest. This deeper anchoring helped refine the junction between the arms, armpits, and chest while providing added support to an area that had already undergone two previous lifts.
The after photos show a substantial transformation in the lower arm contour. The long, heavy folds that previously hung beneath the arms have been dramatically reduced, and the remaining tissues now follow a much smoother line from the elbows into the armpits. From both the front and back, her arms appear lighter, firmer, and far better proportioned to her frame.
Most importantly, Dr. Agha improved the laxity without trying to force mature skin into an unnaturally tight result. Her arms retain appropriate softness while appearing significantly more refined.
For this lovely female patient, the third procedure represented more than another attempt at arm lifting. It was the culmination of the resilience required to continue seeking a better answer after two previous surgeries had fallen short. By finding the right surgeon and a more comprehensive Total Arm Lift strategy, she finally achieved the smoother and more balanced arm contour she had been pursuing.
