SURGEON: Dr. Siamak Agha MD, PhD, FACS
So this is the backside of our lower body lift redo. Our patient is from New York and had a lower body lift 14 months ago and was still unhappy with a number of issues. Her lower body lift was done on the East Coast, and then she came to us for a revision. Essentially, she wanted her buttocks to be lifted further, her thighs to be repositioned and lifted further, and she felt that she had essentially had skin excision and suturing, and she wanted more shaping, more contouring, and creation of fuller but narrower buttocks. Specifically, she told me this morning that she wants her buttocks to be narrower and not have really much of an hourglass look, but more of a linear look and smaller hips. So during the surgery, not only did I lift her buttocks, use her own lower back and upper buttock tissue to augment her buttocks, liposuction her, and graft some of that fat into the lower buttocks, but I also made her buttocks narrower. Each buttock cheek is at least three to four centimeters narrower, and this was done because that's what she wanted. And when possible, we follow patients' desires and try to create what they want because they have a vision for their body, and if possible, we would like to comply with their vision and produce what is needed for them to be happier, obviously.
So this is the result of the rest of her surgery, which included a comprehensive thigh lift and tummy tuck scar revision. What you'll notice is that the whole thigh unit has been elevated, and even the inner thighs have been improved and enhanced during the work that we did on her thighs on the front. Our patient really, really wanted a comprehensive thigh lift, and unfortunately, that apparently was not performed during her last surgery. So today we complied with her request and performed a comprehensive thigh lift, as you can appreciate.
