Patient Details
This patient in her mid-40s visited Dr. Siamak Agha at The Aesthetic Centers in Newport Beach seeking to restore abdominal contour and correct tissue laxity after multiple pregnancies. She wanted a flatter midsection, a more defined waistline, and a smoother transition across the torso.
Since the patient did not have upper abdominal laxity, a Partial Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) was planned. This procedure is the same as a full tummy tuck with less skin excision for those who do not have a lot of loose skin. During the procedure, the abdominal flap was elevated to the ribcage, the umbilicus was released and repositioned, and the rectus muscles were tightened from the xiphoid to the pubic rim—rebuilding core support and creating a firmer foundation.
To refine her silhouette further, Dr. Agha also performed extensive liposuction of the back, flanks, and saddlebags, removing 1,400 cc of fat, followed by 400 cc of liposuction to the waist. This combination allowed for a smoother, more sculpted waistline that complemented the results of her abdominoplasty.
Her postoperative results show a significantly flatter abdomen, a narrower waist, and improved definition from the front and side views. The incision lies low and is designed to be easily concealed beneath underwear or swimwear.
This case highlights how a Partial Tummy Tuck paired with strategic liposuction can restore abdominal tone and enhance overall body contour for patients seeking a more refined, balanced shape.
