Patient Details
This patient in her late 40s presented to Dr. Siamak Agha at The Aesthetic Centers in Newport Beach after previous liposuction that had resulted in areas of depressions of the lower abdomen and upper inner thighs, and residual fullness across the torso and lower inner thighs.
To address these concerns, Dr. Agha used a circumferential approach to liposuction, removing 800 cc of fat from the abdomen, 700 cc from the waist and love handles, 900 cc from the lower back, and 800 cc from the inner thighs. This resulted in a total of 3,200 cc of fat liposuction, allowing for comprehensive contour refinement while maintaining smooth transitions. He then performed liposhifting to even out the thickness of fat in between the areas that had too much and areas that were indented.
Rather than discarding the removed fat, a portion was refined and reused to correct contour irregularities. Fat transfer was performed to fill indentations in the lower abdomen and upper inner thighs, and additional fat was placed over the areas of breast implant rippling to improve surface smoothness.
The postoperative results–taken 7 months after–show:
This case highlights how combining precise liposuction and liposhifting with thoughtful fat transfer can restore smoothness and achieve cohesive body contouring results.
